After the first 24 hours of an injury, you can begin to incorporate a hot pack into your routine. The hot pack helps to promote blood flow to the injury which helps to heal you faster. Again you want to shoot for 20 minutes on hot 20 minutes off hot. 20 minutes of hot, followed by 20 minutes off. Then start again. During this time stay off your feet and don’t stress the area. After a few days you will want to stretch things out by doing some simple stretching.

Massage therapy can also assist with sports injuries as well. Using a combination of deep and soft tissue massage can help your muscles to heal faster and reduce your scar tissue. You can then use basic therapy to slowly get yourself back into shape. Using resistance bands can help with this if you were laid up for quite a while.

Slowly work your way back into exercising, don’t rush it or you can expect to be laid up even longer. You should take it slowly and as your pain subsides, beging to increase your activity again.

Many people fail to realize that part of the reason why they wake up tired and groggy and ineffective each day is because of something that is really quite easy to fix.
